Hawzah News Agency, Ayatollah Seyyed Mohammad Taqi Modarresi, an Iraqi scholar, made the remarks during his weekly ethics lesson for seminary students in the holy city of Karbala.
He stressed that the sacrifice and devotion of Hazrat Fatima Zahra (peace be upon her) and her historical stances constituted a true "safety mechanism" for protecting the Islamic Ummah from collapse and deviation.
The cleric stated that the immortal sermon of Hazrat Fatima Zahra (peace be upon her) is the source of a comprehensive intellectual and religious system that encompasses the philosophy of worship, the rulings of Sharia, and its fundamental objectives.
Ayatollah Modarresi further explained that the immunity and resilience of societies can only be achieved through the cohesion and unity of faith-based, social, and elite groups. He warned that division and fragmentation within the Ummah open the door to deviation and foreign domination, and called on scholars, intellectuals, and believers to draw lessons from Hazrat Fatima Zahra's steadfastness.
The Iraqi scholar also highlighted the role of the Ahlul Bayt (peace be upon them) in preserving the integrity of Islamic thought, saying that the exemplary conduct of the Prophet's household — particularly the stance of Hazrat Fatima Zahra — has historically shielded the Muslim community from intellectual and moral decay.
He concluded by urging seminary students and religious scholars to study the life and legacy of Hazrat Fatima Zahra with renewed attention, emphasizing that her sacrifices were not limited to a single historical moment but rather established enduring principles of resistance against tyranny, defense of truth, and protection of the community's spiritual and social fabric.
